Dr. B.J.Raghunath, Principal of Alpha College of Engineering, took his Bachelors in Science with Major Physics and Mathematics. He pursued his studies in Engineering and took his Doctorates in 2004 from Bangalore University with specialization in Machine Design. He was with DRDO from 1976-2007 as a Scientific in Gas Turline Research Estb. Bangalore. He worked for LCA (Low Combact Aircraft, Kaveri Engine) which has now made over 100 sorties.
On the design environment he was responsible for Optimization /Validation of LCA Components applying Structural Analysis methods. He was also responsible for Commissioning of the Rapid prototyping System a new concept in Manufacture Process. This facility is now a national asset for Excellence. He was also in charge for studying Characterization of LCA (wind shield), wind Tunnel model for ADA/NAL and Fan Assembly of Gas Turline Engine.
Dr. B.J. Raghunath has to this Credit of over 15 publication in the field of Gas Turlime Engine Components. He has guided a number of UG / PG students. He is at present guides two Ph.D scholars. He has represented his organization at various Conference and Seminars.
He holds membership of Professional Societies / Institutions at RPSI ( Rapid Prototyping Society) of India Bangalore. He is a permanent corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers.
He has been recognized as a Charted Engineer, a Gazetted Rank by the Institution of Engineers (India) for his contribution in Research and Development at DRDO, LCA Project.
He is also Member of Board of Examiners for UG/PG of Bangalore University.
